Business Introduction

Residence

A serviced apartment located in the central area of Vientiane. Like a hotel, it is clean and designed to appeal to a wide range of residents, with a strong focus on functionality and convenience.

Travel Business

As part of our consulting business, we started offering Laos business tours when entering Laos, and in March 2012 we established a joint venture in Laos with HIS Co., Ltd. With the establishment of HIS Las Co., Ltd., we hope to further attract tourists to Laos and from Laos to the rest of the world, thereby broadening the tourism industry. Laos is a tourism-based country, so much so that Westerners say it is “the number one country in the world that they want to visit,” and we are focusing our efforts on operating this business as a promising prospect for the future.

Travel Business

In November 2013, Marunouchi Co., Ltd. (Tokyo) and AMZ Group established a joint venture for logistics and human resources services. With the motto of “omotenashi” (hospitality), the company has cultivated many talents through its own unique human resources development scheme and operates a vehicle dispatch and driver dispatch service in Laos. The company is currently active with bases in Vientiane and Savannakhet.

Technical intern trainee dispatch service

In June 2017, we obtained a license as a sending organization, allowing us to send trainees to Japan, Thailand, and neighboring countries. Currently, with the help of major Japanese companies, we have established an organizational structure that allows us to send out many trainees, including a Japanese language school and a trainee development system, and we are providing this service.

Trading business

Laos has an abundance of unknown products, including agricultural products and minerals, which offer many opportunities for export overseas, and our company exports a variety of products. In addition, as a trading agent, we handle everything from finding Laotian products to exporting them. Because we have our own logistics network, we can make low-cost arrangements for companies that are concerned about logistics costs.

Laos domestic retail business

This business started as a simple task of “procuring items that Laos lacks from overseas,” but has become an essential business in Laos, where people still have to rely on imported goods. Currently, we are engaged in wholesale and retail sales within Laos, including to major Japanese home appliance manufacturers and housing manufacturers.

Jlife

This second-hand shop imports and sells a wide variety of products from Japan, including second-hand clothing, household goods, and bicycles. Located in Vientiane, it changes its products every month, allowing you to enjoy the experience.

IT business

DC Management

With support from the Japanese government, Laos’ first container-type data center began operation in 2016. Our company has partnered with the Laotian Ministry of Science and Technology and is in charge of operating this data center.

EOC business

We have launched an EOC (Environment Operation Center) business in Laos through a joint venture (IISI Lao Co., Ltd.) with the iisi Group, a major Taiwanese IT company. We will use cutting-edge technology to prevent, detect, and mitigate disasters in Laos.

System development business

We established Ryobi Lao together with the major Japanese company Ryobi to respond to the trend towards digitalization of government offices in Laos. We are working to provide Japanese system development technology and IT inline technology to the e-government of Laos.

Construction business

In 2014, we established a joint venture, Asia Weplus Co., Ltd., with Thai construction company Weplus. We are able to provide reliable services with high-quality construction technology, and currently have an extensive track record in Laos, including the construction of factories for a major Japanese company, government projects, and the design and construction of hotels and restaurants. In 2018, we also established a joint venture with Aktio, a construction equipment rental company, and are expanding into Laos.

Gas business

We will supply LPG from Laos’ largest refinery and sell it both within Laos and overseas (starting December 2018). In Laos, where charcoal is the mainstream fuel, we are advocating the use of LPG and running this business in a joint venture with a Japanese company, as we believe it can be a business that will make the lives of Laotians easier and support them.

Mining Business

We operate a quarry in the Mekong River basin. We provide approximately 70% of Laos’ exports of stone and sand. We are conducting business together with ready-mix concrete manufacturing plants in Thailand and Laos.

Laos is also a treasure trove of underground resources, with numerous veins of gold, silver, copper, tin, tin, sapphires, and other precious stones, as well as aluminum and bauxite. Our company receives requests from many companies and individuals, including Japanese companies, and provides consulting services and mining site management.

Agricultural business

In response to the needs of Japan, we established an agricultural corporation in May 2011 (AMZ Farm Co., Ltd.). With 70% of the population engaged in agriculture and 80% of the land area suitable for agriculture, Laos is gaining attention as a next-generation agricultural powerhouse, and in fact, we are seeing an increase in the number of companies from China, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries setting up operations in Laos as a second-largest producer of food ingredients.

As a Laotian company, we are not just a supplier of raw materials, but we also propose a scheme to process raw materials and sell them as products, and we were founded with the dream of exporting many “made in Laos” products overseas.

Since 2016, we have been working with the Ministry of Science and Technology to develop agriculture on 20,000 hectares of land in Vang Vieng City, Vientiane Province.

Since 2018, we have partnered with BETAGRO, a major Thai feed company, to operate poultry (egg) farming, pig farming, and processing plants. We are working to provide safe and secure products to improve the food situation in Laos.

We offer agricultural business solutions that can meet a variety of needs, thanks to the Lao AMZ Group’s network of contacts and know-how.
